About Jeni

Jeni qualified to be a Tai Chi teacher in 2010. She started teaching Tai Chi as a volunteer when living in Queensland and wanted to support older people in her community with arthritis to stay active. When Jeni started running Tai Chi classes for the Ballarat East Neighbourhood House in 2019, they were extremely popular.

Ticket options

In Term One, Ballarat East Neighbourhood House is offering three different payment options for the eight Thursday Tai Chi classes. Each class costs $10.00. There are discounts available for purchasing your tickets in bulk, in advance and online.

Option One: $56.00 Term Pass (valued at $80.00)

This is the way to go if you want to guarantee your place every week in this very popular class.

By purchasing your ticket online, each class will cost $8.00, a discount of $2.00 per class (valued at $10.00). Instead of paying $80.00 for 8 classes ($10.00 per class), you get classes at a discounted price of $64.00 for purchasing online.

Also, if you pre-pay online for the whole term by purchasing a Tai Chi Term Pass, you will get the additional bonus of one class free of charge. The total cost for the whole term will be $56.00. This means you can attend all eight classes but only pay for seven!

This pass covers your attendance for every Thursday in Term One from 11 February - 1 April 2021.

Option Two: $8.00 Individual Class (Online Payment) (valued at $10.00)

If you know that you can't make it every Thursday in Term One, but want to book in for the weeks you are available, this could be the best option for you. Available from Monday 8 February 2021.

By purchasing individual classes online, each class will cost $8.00, a discount of $2.00 per class (valued at $10.00). Payment must be made by midday the day before the class, when bookings will close. Once the maximum of 15 participants has been reached, no more bookings will be taken.

Option Three: $10.00 Individual Class (Cash Payment):

If you are not sure when you will be available and are happy to take the chance on missing out if the class is full, this option is for you. This is also the only cash payment option. Available from Monday 8 February 2021.

Classes can be booked online and paid for in cash on the day. Registration for this option is available until midday the day before the class, when bookings will close. Once the maximum of 15 participants has been reached, no more bookings will be taken. To minimise cash-handling required by the teacher, once you have confirmed your booking, please arrive early, bring exactly $10.00 cash on the day and put it into the cash box provided by the teacher.

Please do not arrive at Eureka Hall without having booked a space in the class.

Cancellation of classes

Unfortunately, at this stage, Ballarat East Neighbourhood House is not able to offer replacement classes if you are unable to attend.

If you do not want to commit to the whole term, please consider purchasing your class pass each week online before midday the day before the class. However, please note that the Tai Chi classes are very popular and may book out.
